ShopperDNA
Visit Intelligence
The whole visit, not just the conversation.
The conversation explains why a customer bought or left. The visit around it explains the rest: the four minutes browsing before an advisor arrived, the display they lingered at, the queue they gave up on. ShopperDNA joins the two, as events rather than identities, so a store knows its visits the way it will know its conversations.
What it does
- Footfall, group size, wait time, unattended walk-outs and display hotspots from existing cameras.
- The advisor's tap to record anchors the visual session to a consented conversation.
- Aggregated by store and week: who visits by group and hour, what they came for, how long they stay, what made them buy or leave.
- No facial identification; shoppers are events, not profiles.
ShopperDNA is on the Borentis roadmap. This page describes direction, not a shipped feature. Ask for the current status on a walkthrough.
Use cases it powers
- Market & Competitor Intelligence: Hear which rival is winning at your counter, why customers did not buy, and what they asked for that you do not stock.
- Network Performance: See how three hundred stores sell, not just what they sold, and catch the launch that did not land on day one.
Where Borentis applies this
- Execution Scorecards: See the floor before the P&L does.
- Unmet Demand Signals: Demand for what you did not have.
- Walk-in Recovery: The customer who left is still yours.
Frequently asked questions
Is this facial recognition?
No. ShopperDNA counts and times events, and never identifies a person. Identity exists only where a customer gave a number for follow-up in the conversation.
