New Product Launch Readiness Checklist

Launch-day readiness for a new phone, device or vehicle in store.

A new product launch readiness checklist is the list a store or showroom completes so a new phone, device or vehicle launches with a live demo, correct pricing, trained staff and offers ready at the counter. The store manager fills it in the days before launch and on launch morning, taking live photos of the demo and display with GPS and time stamp. The area manager reviews readiness across stores the evening before launch, when there is still time to fix gaps. It covers mobile and electronics stores and car and two-wheeler showrooms, so mark N/A where an item does not apply. Two items are fatal: a demo device without a working security tether, and launch product displayed without MRP or ex-showroom price. A failed item raises a ticket with an owner and a deadline.

Free. No form. The workbook has the same columns as the table below, with the score formula and a fatal-item check in place.

In BorentisOps

The same template, with proof.

Loaded into BorentisOps, each required photo is live, GPS and time-stamped, so a photo from yesterday or another store does not pass. Where the brand has a docket or display standard, Drishti scores the photo against it and marks the misses. Every fail raises a ticket with an owner and a deadline, and the area manager sees the store on a heat map before the next visit.

The checklist runs offline and syncs when signal returns, in Hindi, English and Hinglish, and the operations score sits next to the store's selling score from Borentis Floor on one store card. Pricing is per store, so every store manager and staff member in the store is on the app.

FAQs

About this template.

Does this checklist work for both phone launches and car launches?

Yes. The structure of stock and embargo, demo and display, team, offers and launch-day proof is the same for a new phone, a laptop or a new car. Items that apply to one format only, such as the security tether for phones or the test-drive vehicle for cars, can be marked N/A. You can also remove them before assigning the checklist to your stores in BorentisOps.

Why is the security tether a fatal item?

Launch devices are the most wanted units in the store and the most likely to be picked up and walked out. A demo phone without a working tether and alarm on launch day is a loss waiting to happen, and it is easy to miss when the team is busy. Making it fatal means the checklist cannot pass and a ticket goes out until every demo is secured.

When should the area manager review launch readiness?

The evening before launch is the right time. By then stock, display, team and offer items should be done, and the area manager can see in one view which stores are not ready. Stores that fail get a ticket with a deadline of the next morning. On launch day the area manager checks the display photos and the tally to see where the launch landed well.

Can I import this template into BorentisOps?

Yes. The Excel download keeps the same columns you see on this page: section, item, audit question, answer type, photo rule, weight, fatal flag and what good looks like. BorentisOps imports it as a checklist, and you can edit any item before it goes live. A Borentis onboarding person maps the store manager and area manager roles to your people and assigns the launch readiness checklist to the right stores, so the first run happens on the store phone.
