A practice checklist that teaches new users every answer type in the app.
An app training sample SOP checklist is a practice checklist a new user fills once to learn how BorentisOps works on the phone before they touch a real audit. Each item teaches one action: opening the assigned checklist, answering yes, no or N/A, rating on a scale, entering a number, adding a remark, taking a live photo with GPS and time stamp, raising a ticket from a failed item, and submitting with the phone offline so it syncs later. Store Staff fill it on their first day with the app, in Hindi, English or Hinglish, and the Store Manager reviews it to confirm every action was done. It has no fatal items and nothing in it affects the store's operations score.
Free. No form. The workbook has the same columns as the table below, with the score formula and a fatal-item check in place.
Score = weight of items answered Yes ÷ weight of items not marked N/A, out of 100. Pass mark 90. A failed fatal item caps the score at zero and raises a ticket to the store manager.
| # | Item | Audit question | Answer | Photo | Weight | What good looks like |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Open assigned checklist | Did you find this checklist under today's tasks and open it from the home screen? | Yes / No / N/A | No | 2 | Checklist opened from today's tasks, not from a shared link or a screenshot. |
| 2 | Store and date shown | Does the top of the screen show your store name and today's date correctly? | Yes / No / N/A | No | 2 | Correct store name and date shown, and the user tells the manager if either is wrong. |
| 3 | Language selected | Have you set the app language you are most comfortable with, Hindi, English or Hinglish? | Yes / No / N/A | No | 1 | Language set once in settings, questions read clearly in the chosen language. |
| # | Item | Audit question | Answer | Photo | Weight | What good looks like |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 | Answer yes or no | Is the store's main entrance door open right now? | Yes / No / N/A | No | 2 | A clear yes or no tapped, matching what the user sees at the entrance. |
| 5 | Use N/A correctly | Is the cafe coffee machine switched on? If your store has no coffee machine, choose N/A? | Yes / No / N/A | No | 2 | N/A chosen only where the item does not exist in this store, never to skip work. |
| 6 | Rate on a scale | On a scale of 1 to 5, how clean is the billing counter right now? | 1 to 5 | No | 2 | A rating chosen after looking at the counter, with 3 meaning acceptable but not ideal. |
| 7 | Enter a number | How many staff members are on the floor right now, including you? | Number | No | 2 | A whole number typed with the keypad, counted by walking the floor once. |
| 8 | Add a remark | Is the staff notice board up to date? Add a remark describing one thing on it, whatever your answer? | Yes / No / N/A | No | 2 | Answer given and a short remark typed or dictated, describing what was actually seen. |
| # | Item | Audit question | Answer | Photo | Weight | What good looks like |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 9 | Take a live photo | Take a live photo of the store entrance from the inside. Is the photo clear and not blurred? | Yes / No / N/A | Required | 3 | Photo taken live in the app, entrance fully in frame, GPS and time stamp showing. |
| 10 | Retake a photo | Retake the entrance photo once so you know how to replace a poor photo. Did the new photo replace the old one? | Yes / No / N/A | Required | 2 | Old photo replaced by the retake, only one photo left on the item. |
| 11 | Photo as the answer | Can you take a live photo of the billing counter as it looks right now? | Photo | Required | 2 | Whole counter in frame, taken straight on, in normal store lighting, no filters. |
| # | Item | Audit question | Answer | Photo | Weight | What good looks like |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12 | Raise a practice ticket | Answer No, then raise a practice ticket saying the demo light near the entrance is flickering. Did the ticket get an owner and a deadline? | Yes / No / N/A | Optional | 3 | Ticket raised from the item, owner and deadline filled, marked as practice in the remark. |
| 13 | Review before submitting | Before submitting, did you scroll back through the summary and check that no item is left unanswered? | Yes / No / N/A | No | 2 | Summary checked, every item answered or marked N/A, nothing left blank before submitting. |
| 14 | Submit offline and sync | Switch on flight mode, submit this checklist, then switch it off. Did the status change from waiting to synced? | Yes / No / N/A | No | 3 | Checklist submitted offline, shown as waiting, then synced within a minute of reconnecting. |
Loaded into BorentisOps, each required photo is live, GPS and time-stamped, so a photo from yesterday or another store does not pass. Where the brand has a docket or display standard, Drishti scores the photo against it and marks the misses. Every fail raises a ticket with an owner and a deadline, and the store manager sees the store on a heat map before the next visit.
The checklist runs offline and syncs when signal returns, in Hindi, English and Hinglish, and the operations score sits next to the store's selling score from Borentis Floor on one store card. Pricing is per store, so every store staff and staff member in the store is on the app.
Because the first real audit should not be where someone learns what N/A means or discovers that photos must be live. The sample SOP lets a new joiner try every answer type once, with nothing at stake. Ten minutes on day one saves repeated calls to the manager later and keeps real audit data clean from the first week.
Only if you let it. Most brands route this template's tickets to the Store Manager, who closes them after checking the joiner knows how to raise one. Ask your Borentis onboarding person to set the routing so practice tickets never land in the maintenance queue. The remark on the item should say it is a practice ticket.
That is exactly what the last item teaches. BorentisOps works offline: answers and live photos are saved on the phone and the checklist is marked as waiting. When the phone reconnects, it syncs on its own. Photos keep the time stamp from when they were taken, not from when they synced, so the record stays honest.
Yes. The Excel download keeps the same columns BorentisOps uses: section, item, question, answer type, photo rule, weight, fatal flag and the note on what good looks like. It imports as a checklist, and a Borentis onboarding person maps the filled-by and reviewed-by roles to your people and assigns it to your stores. Many brands rename the items to match their own store before assigning it to new joiners.
