A daily pre-opening check of uniform, grooming, hygiene and floor conduct.
A staff grooming and hygiene checklist is a short daily check, done at the morning huddle, that confirms every person on the floor is in a clean uniform, wearing a name badge and ID card, groomed to the brand standard and ready to serve. The Store Manager fills it before the doors open, taking one live photo of the lined-up team, and the Area Manager reviews it the same day. It works for showrooms, exclusive brand outlets and company-owned cafes, where hairnets, gloves and a fitness declaration are added for anyone handling food. A failed item raises a ticket with an owner and a deadline, usually a same-day fix such as a replacement badge or a fresh uniform set from the store stock.
Free. No form. The workbook has the same columns as the table below, with the score formula and a fatal-item check in place.
Score = weight of items answered Yes ÷ weight of items not marked N/A, out of 100. Pass mark 90. A failed fatal item caps the score at zero and raises a ticket to the area manager.

Loaded into BorentisOps, each required photo is live, GPS and time-stamped, so a photo from yesterday or another store does not pass. Where the brand has a docket or display standard, Drishti scores the photo against it and marks the misses. Every fail raises a ticket with an owner and a deadline, and the area manager sees the store on a heat map before the next visit.
The checklist runs offline and syncs when signal returns, in Hindi, English and Hinglish, and the operations score sits next to the store's selling score from Borentis Floor on one store card. Pricing is per store, so every store manager and staff member in the store is on the app.
About ten minutes at the morning huddle. The Store Manager lines up the team, walks down the line once and ticks each item, then takes one team photo. Most items are yes or no, so the checklist is quick on a phone. If someone joins the next shift, the manager can repeat the check for that shift and the photo keeps a record of who was on the floor and how they looked.
Only items that put a customer at risk. In this template, a food handler who is unwell or has an open wound on the hands is fatal, because serving food in that state is a food safety failure, not a grooming lapse. A missing badge or unpolished shoes should cost marks and raise a ticket, not fail the whole check. Brands can add a fatal item for their own standard, but keep the list short.
Yes. The hygiene section applies to food handlers and beauty advisors, and every other store marks those items N/A. N/A items do not count against the score. That keeps one grooming standard across formats, so an Area Manager who covers both a cafe and a showroom reads the same checklist, and the brand can compare grooming scores across stores fairly.
Yes. The Excel download keeps the same columns BorentisOps uses: section, item, question, answer type, photo rule, weight, fatal flag and the note on what good looks like. It imports as a checklist, and a Borentis onboarding person maps the filled-by and reviewed-by roles to your people and assigns it to your stores. You can add brand-specific items such as saree drape, blazer or turban standards before it goes live.
