Daily and Weekly Store VM Checklist

Opening VM checks for window, mannequins, focal points, pricing and display lighting.

A daily and weekly store VM checklist is a short list of visual merchandising checks that confirm the window, entrance table, mannequins, focal points and product presentation match the brand's current docket and display standard. The store manager fills it on the store phone within the first hour of trading, taking live photos with GPS and time stamp, and marks N/A for anything a format does not have, such as mannequins in a mobile store. The three weekly items at the end are done once a week, usually on the quietest morning. The VM executive reviews the photos, and Drishti, the visual AI, scores each one against the docket. A failed item raises a ticket with an owner and a deadline, and a missing MRP tag is fatal and must be fixed before customers walk in.

The same template, with proof.

Loaded into BorentisOps, each required photo is live, GPS and time-stamped, so a photo from yesterday or another store does not pass. Where the brand has a docket or display standard, Drishti scores the photo against it and marks the misses. Every fail raises a ticket with an owner and a deadline, and the vm executive sees the store on a heat map before the next visit.

The checklist runs offline and syncs when signal returns, in Hindi, English and Hinglish, and the operations score sits next to the store's selling score from Borentis Floor on one store card. Pricing is per store, so every store manager and staff member in the store is on the app.

FAQs

About this template.

Who should fill the daily VM checklist, the store manager or the VM team?

The store manager fills it every morning because the VM team cannot be in every store every day. The VM executive reviews the photos remotely and visits only the stores that fail. Drishti scores each photo against the docket, so the VM executive starts the day with a list of stores and zones that need attention instead of scrolling through hundreds of pictures on a messaging group.

Why does a daily VM checklist have weekly items in it?

Some VM tasks do not need doing every day but are forgotten if they sit on a separate list. A deep clean of fixtures and mannequins, a refresh of the entrance hero and a full photo set of every zone fit naturally into one morning a week. Keeping them at the end of the daily list means the store manager sees them every day and ticks them on the agreed day.

Why is a missing MRP tag marked as fatal?

Displaying a packaged product without its MRP inclusive of all taxes breaks Legal Metrology rules and can lead to a notice during an inspection. It also causes arguments at the billing counter when the customer sees a different price. Marking it fatal means the item raises a ticket at once and the checklist cannot pass until every displayed product is tagged, which is the standard most brands already expect.

Can I import this template into BorentisOps?

Yes. The Excel download keeps the same columns you see on this page: section, item, audit question, answer type, photo rule, weight, fatal flag and what good looks like. BorentisOps imports it as a checklist, and you can edit any item before it goes live. A Borentis onboarding person maps the store manager and VM executive roles to your people and assigns the daily VM checklist to the right stores, so the first run happens on the store phone.
