Display Cars and Demo Units Checklist

Daily showroom check that every display car and bike is clean, open and priced.

A display cars and demo units checklist is the daily check that every car and two-wheeler on the showroom floor is clean inside and out, unlocked, correctly priced and dressed as the brand's docket shows. The showroom manager fills it before the first walk-in, taking live photos of the hero car and each display row with GPS and time stamp. The area manager reviews the photos across showrooms, and Drishti scores the hero car photo against the brand's display standard. Two items are fatal: a display car that is locked when a customer walks in, and an electric bike charger left unsafe or running unattended. Any failed item raises a ticket with an owner and a deadline, so a missing price sheet or a dusty bonnet is fixed before lunch.

In BorentisOps

The same template, with proof.

Loaded into BorentisOps, each required photo is live, GPS and time-stamped, so a photo from yesterday or another store does not pass. Where the brand has a docket or display standard, Drishti scores the photo against it and marks the misses. Every fail raises a ticket with an owner and a deadline, and the area manager sees the store on a heat map before the next visit.

The checklist runs offline and syncs when signal returns, in Hindi, English and Hinglish, and the operations score sits next to the store's selling score from Borentis Floor on one store card. Pricing is per store, so every showroom manager and staff member in the store is on the app.

FAQs

About this template.

Why is a locked display car a fatal item?

A customer who walks up to a display car and finds it locked often walks away without asking for the key, and the showroom never knows the enquiry was lost. Keeping every display car open during trading, with keys tagged at the desk, is basic showroom discipline. Making it fatal means the checklist fails and a ticket goes to the showroom manager at once until every car is open.

How does the checklist handle two-wheeler showrooms?

The two-wheeler section covers stands, alignment, price tags and electric demo bikes, and the car sections can be marked N/A. A pure two-wheeler showroom can also import the template and remove the car sections in BorentisOps before assigning it. Dealers that run cars and two-wheelers under one roof keep all sections, so one person covers the whole floor in a single walk.

Who should review the display cars checklist?

The area manager reviews it across all showrooms in the area, usually by mid-morning. The hero car photo is scored by Drishti against the brand's display standard, so the area manager sees which showrooms have the wrong accessories fitted, a missing variant card or poor lighting. Repeated fails on the same item point to a process gap, such as no one owning the morning wash.

Can I import this template into BorentisOps?

Yes. The Excel download keeps the same columns you see on this page: section, item, audit question, answer type, photo rule, weight, fatal flag and what good looks like. BorentisOps imports it as a checklist, and you can edit any item before it goes live. A Borentis onboarding person maps the showroom manager and area manager roles to your people and assigns the display cars checklist to the right stores, so the first run happens on the store phone.
